This Dairy Farm is so pleased with their systems, they are looking to expand their production for the residence. 24 KW of power offsets their consumption by 30,000 KWHs per year. This system consists of three individual ground mount systems.
Simple design and clean lines make these solar panels appear as artwork dotting the landscape. Each new Solar Energy installation reduces the need for fueled generation of electricity, whether it be from coal, natural gas or nuclear energy. Solar Energy is a clean, safe, non-polluting source of energy that will not deplete or harm our natural resources. Below we see the power inverters that convert the DC current from the solar panels into AC current to be utilized or sold back to the local power authority. Our staff of highly skilled licensed electricians insures that every installation is performed "by the book". Clear Skies Solar stands behind every solar energy installation.
The Installation consists of three separate solar systems across the ranch. The systems will deliver A total of 24KWs using net metering. All three systems will be installed free standing in open fields on concrete footings. System 1 will provide 11KWs to power a barn with refrigeration/freezers. System 2 will provide 8KWs to power the farm managers residence. System 3 will provide 5KWs to power the farm tool shop. The design consists of a total of 144 solar panels. In addition a 180A diesel generator will be tied in to the main residence in the event of grid supplied power interruption. This second site is also progressing. Although hampered by extremely low temperatures the work goes on.
The farm is a certified organic livestock ranch raising Black angus cattle, chickens and turkeys. The farm sits on 400 acres in Montague NJ. This framework for one of the three solar arrays is beginning to take shape.
